Privacy Policy

Last updated: 29 October 2026

This policy explains what personal data Cádiz Experience (www.cadizexperience.com) collects when you visit, why, and what control you have. The site is an informational travel guide: it has no accounts, no shop and no forms, so the amount of data involved is small.

1. Who we are

Cádiz Experience is an independent travel guide to Cádiz. For the purposes of data protection law we are the controller of the data described here. You can reach us at cadizexperience.e1uxn@simplelogin.com.

2. What we collect

  • Analytics data. We use Google Analytics 4, loaded through Google Tag Manager, to see which pages are read, what kind of device and browser is used and roughly which country a visit comes from. It uses cookies or similar identifiers. For visitors in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom, this runs only if you accept the analytics category in the cookie banner.
  • Server and network logs. The site is delivered through Cloudflare, which processes technical data such as your IP address, request details and browser type to serve pages, block abuse and keep the site secure. We do not use these logs to identify individual readers.
  • Emails you send us. If you write to us, we keep your address and message so we can reply and, where relevant, correct the page you wrote about.

We do not offer user accounts, we do not ask for payment details, and we do not sell your personal data.

3. Cookies and consent

When you first visit, a banner lets you accept or decline non-essential cookies. Essential storage, such as remembering your choice, is always on. Analytics is optional and, where the law requires consent, stays off until you give it. You can change your choice at any time with the cookie preferences link in the footer, or through your browser settings. Declining does not limit what you can read.

4. Legal basis

We rely on your consent for analytics cookies where the law requires it. For running and securing the site and answering your emails, we rely on our legitimate interest in operating a safe, working website and in responding to the people who contact us.

5. Who else sees your data

Google processes analytics data under its own terms and privacy policy, and Cloudflare processes network data to deliver the site. Both may handle data outside the EEA and the UK, under the safeguards those providers maintain. We share nothing else with third parties.

6. Links to other sites

Our pages link to official sites, venues and other third parties. Once you follow a link, that site's own privacy policy applies, not this one. We are not responsible for how other sites handle your data.

7. How long we keep data

Analytics data is kept for the period set in our Google Analytics account, which is never longer than 14 months. Emails are kept only as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and are deleted on request.

8. Your rights

Under the GDPR and the UK GDPR you have the right to:

  • ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you;
  • have inaccurate data corrected;
  • have your data erased, where the law allows;
  • object to or restrict our processing, and withdraw consent at any time;
  • complain to a data protection authority, such as the Spanish Agencia Española de Protección de Datos or, in the UK, the Information Commissioner's Office.

To use any of these rights, email cadizexperience.e1uxn@simplelogin.com. We aim to answer within one month.

9. Children

The site is written for adults planning a trip and is not aimed at children. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the site changes. The date at the top shows the latest revision. For anything else about how we run the site, see our terms of use and contact page.
